10K training is under way!
In 2016, I ran my first 5k when my 4th baby was about 7 months old. As soon as I crossed the finish line, I registered for a 10k. That led to me completing my first 15k, and topping it off with my first (and only) half marathon.
Since 2016, I’ve done several 5, 10 & 15k races, and mostly enjoyed all of them 😆
With the weather so beautiful & putting in a lot of work over the winter to strengthen my glutes & hamstrings, I wanted to squeeze in a quick early summer race.
No matter if you’re a novice or a pro, I can’t recommend Hal Higdon enough for the best training schedules out there. (Just google “Hal Higdon” and the race distance).
I’ve used Hal’s plans for every single race, and in doing so I’ve remained injury free & felt prepared for each distance, even if it was my first time!
